MTMUG was created in the early 1990's to provide a forum where transportation professionals could meet and discuss travel demand forecasting issues. Over the years since its inception, MTMUG has grown to include transportation professionals from all over the midwest.
Our mission is to provide a consistent comprehensive and standardized framework of best practices and application of travel demand modeling and traffic forecasting tools. The tools will facilitate collaborative use in planning and designing transportation systems and facilities for the State of Iowa, promote sharing, and encourage continuing cooperation and good practice across the state.
